I am an experienced speech pathologist with a passion for improving how adults and older adults receive care across Perth, Western Australia.
With a background spanning hospitals, community settings, and aged care. I bring a practical, evidence-based approach to supporting swallowing, communication, and cognitive-communication needs. I am also developing innovative therapy tools to help people live more independently, driven by a belief that allied health can and should be done differently.

MEET THE FOUNDER
After finishing my studies at Curtin University in Perth, I began my career in Darwin working with remote Aboriginal communities. I then moved through community and hospital roles across WA.
I eventually found my rhythm in rehabilitation, especially supporting people in their own homes. While I’ve worked across many settings, my heart has always been with older adults, aged care is where I feel most at home.

Through her holistic approach, she always strives to maintain open communication with MDTs and relevant stakeholders, helping individuals maintain their dignity, and honouring functional goals.

Kara is the founder of Rova Health and an experienced speech pathologist working with adults and older adults across Western Australia.
